Is your fish acting a bit off? Seems to be a bit sick but you don't know with what illness? Seachem PolyGuard is a top of the line, pharmaceutical grade medical additive designed to treat and eliminate a broad spectrum of bacterial, fungal and parasitic illnesses such as fin rot, hemorrhagic septicemia, ich, mouth rot and fungus in both freshwater and saltwater fish, making it the optimal choice when aquarists are unsure of the disease that they are intending to treat. This medication may be gentle on fish and will not stress them out, but is still incredibly strong and effective against the aforementioned infections. Comes in a 10 gram container.

Instructions:

Before Treating

First, remove all invertebrates as these are extremely sensitive to the medication. Turn off any and all UV filters, ozone filters as well as remove chemical filtration. Ensure that your aquarium is fully cycled and boasts stable water parameters, as poor water quality is the one of leading causes of most fish diseases and adding this medication will do nothing if the water is still less than optimal.

Dosing

Use 1 measure (included) per every 40 L (10 US gallons) of aquarium water. Repeat this dose every 72 hours for a maximum period of 2 weeks. Repeat this process every 3 days for up to 2 weeks maximum or until symptoms disappear. This solution can be used whenever introducing new fish to an established aqarium.

After Treating

When the treatment period is over and fish are deemed to be healthy, Seachem PolyGuard can be easily removed using activated filter carbon like and the solution does not linger in the substrate or filter media of the tank.
